10 Little Things

Here's another project I forgot to share back on NSD. Our challenge was to make a time capsule with 10 things you wanted to remember. I used a Maya Road Chipboard album and 7gypsies papers.

True Friendship

i've been wanting to use this quote about friendship for this photo of skylar and his cousin amber, but i didn't want to use up my letter stickers so I relied on photoshop elements. I have taken several mouse paper scissors classes and figured i could whip up a title in true heidi swapp fashion.

Happy Father's Day!

I used this pre-made doodlebug card for my father's day card and added chipboard letters, punched circles and stitching. My dad is No. 1. Love you Dad!

Also made one for my grandpa too!

yeah, weekend!

i had a super busy week at work covering vacations and a sick coworker. so happy when the clock striked 6pm friday night. i made christopher go with me to see Rock of Ages. it was an over the top cheesy fun movie. there were so many parts that i just laughed out loud. i didn't like julianne's singing voice, but alec baldwin and russell brand added tons of humor.
right now, i am getting ready to make a father's day card and hopefully scrap some more photos from my big o' stack.
here's a card i made from another 2peas challenge (use a frame in a unique way)

Sunday Hike

With Christopher gearing to go on a 47 mile hike in July, we've been trying to get out once a week for a nice day hike. Today it was a 10 mile trek roundtrip on the Taylor River Trail aka Snoqualmie Lake Trail.
There wasn't much of an elevation gain so I had nothing to complain about! Once I read this online I was sold. "While nearby Mt. Si bristles with sweating hikers, and the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Trail hosts hordes of outdoor enthusiasts, the Taylor River Trail - an old road that's been reclaimed by the forest - goes largely unnoticed and unused."

We stopped at Marten Creek for lunch (pb&j, one hard boiled egg and a baggy of dried pineapple.)
The Big Creek bridge marked the stopping point of our 5 mile trek in.

Me and Christopher
On our way back we took a side trip to Otter Falls. You had to look for a cairn (pile of rocks) which would signify turning north up a hill for a few hundred yards

It was quite spectacular watching the water slide down the huge vertical granite slabs.
With tired feet and legs we made it home by 7pm and will definitely experience a good night sleep!
i hope to do better on the next video!sorry for the dizziness.

this was a layout i created on NSD on 2peas where you had to follow the morph. it started with shannon tidwell's layout "learning to fish" and i pretty much scraplifted her layout for "making snow angels."

Sunday Day Hike - Teneriffe "Kamikaze" Falls

2 christophers and myself headed off to north bend for a day hike to teneriffe falls. 6 miles roundtrip/ highest elevation point: 2370 feet.
starts off super easy with a gentle grade on a forested logging road. couple miles past that the trail narrows and becomes very rocky with views of the snoqualmie valley. in my opinion it was one of the easier trails we've hiked and would gladly do it again.
